Hello. I didn't realize there was a specific place for us to communicate that is easier than a million groupchats, especially since not all of us know each other well. Anyways, I have managed to get a "Generation X" (which I think is a silly and pretentious name) time slot for the Danger Room so we can learn to use our powers and abilities together. I think it would be a good thing to do.

Right now, it's controlling you. You could do SO MUCH GOOD with your powers if you weren't so fucking chickenshit. Imagine what you could do with things like hazard reduction burns and bushfire prevention and disaster recovery. But instead, you're all "nah, I won't learn about them".

Match can use or not use his powers however he wants. And who says we have to use them for anything at all? You're implying Match should have to do things he isn't comfortable with just because his power is potentially "useful" to society. I'm only a specific metamorph, and no one has ever even suggested it's my responsibility to use that for the greater good. Are you saying some mutants should be held to a different standard than others based on genetic roulette?

Yeah, he should use his powers for good, because he can. He won the genetic lottery. Not all of us did.

Maybe one day I can get the quals to go into mining - real mining, not bullshit hand mining like I've seen. They could use my powers there, probably. Other than combat, I don't know what else I can use them for.

Maybe you can't use being a metamorph, but the important part is that you need to like, have proper control, not just try to pretend they don't exist.

Possessing a skill does not obligate you to use it, especially if it's not something you're comfortable with. You can't have it both ways. If mutants have the right to use our powers we also have the right to abstain.
